Zendikar Spoiler: Landfall and Rampaging Baloths
August 27, 2009 | Posted by Dee
I just wrote an article about one of the mythic rares spoiled for Zendikar, Magic The Gathering’s upcoming new set. The card is named Rampaging Baloths and it contains a new keyword mechanic called Landfall. Check out the article where I talk about Landfall, Rampaging Baloths, and how they could affect the new Standard environment.
MTG Strategy Guide for a Jund Deck With 4 Great Sable Stag Maindeck

This is a guest post written by Salivanth of mtgsalivanth.blogspot.com. Visit his blog for more Magic The Gathering strategy tips.
A few days ago, I posted a decklist on my blog, which turned out to be surprisingly strong. That decklist was GSS (Great Sable Stag) Jund. GSS Jund has turned out to be surprisingly good, so when I offered to write an article for Magic Game Plan and was told a midlevel-PTQ aimed strategy article would be good, I decided to write a primer on how to play GSS Jund.

M10 Drafting Tips from Magic Pro LSV
August 5, 2009 | Posted by Dee
LSV did a bunch of team drafts and shares what he learned from the experience.
A lot of people were puzzled at the lack of Safe Passage in his first pass at M10 pick orders. However, he came to the light and now ranks Safe Passage as the 3rd best white card out of the commons and uncommons.
Safe Passage is insane, and I didn’t give it the respect it deserved initially. It destroys Fireball, Earthquake, and Overrun, and is at the worst a solid 1 for 1, although usually better. I would play 2 or 3 in most decks without thinking about it, and would pick it over most commons that don’t fly or Pacify.

M10 Sealed Deck Tournament Report (Magic League Trial)
August 3, 2009 | Posted by Dee

Last Saturday, I played in a M10 Sealed Deck Trial on Magic-League.com. A trial is a single elimination tournament with the top two players getting byes to the Master Tournament, which is a big swiss tournament (think PTQ). First place for the trial gets two byes while the runner-up gets one bye.
I opened six packs of Magic 2010 and this is what I saw.
