The Dark Ascension card image gallery is complete so you can see all the cards from Dark Ascension.
The set looks great. It adds a lot of new things to Standard and it looks like it will shake up Limited.
Standard gets a very powerful planeswalker, Sorin, Lord of Innistrad. Sorin is a little bit narrow but he got a lot of support in Dark Ascension. I definitely think BW Tokens will be a real deck.
Tribal strategies got a boost. There are a couple new Werewolves and Zombies that should see play in Standard. Also, all the tribes except Humans got a three mana lord.
Undying seems like game-changer because it crushes mass removal. This mechanic will be great in Birthing Pod decks. Fateful hour doesn’t seem as powerful but who knows? Maybe Hex Parasite and Spellskite could make it work.
Evolving Wilds is a huge addition. It makes three color and enemy color decks much better by improving their manabases.
For Limited, the new mechanics, undying and fateful hour, will definitely change how the games play out. Undying should slow down the format. Fateful hour will reward skillful play. Against a deck with fateful hour cards, you don’t want to leave them with five life or less unless you can kill them right away. Otherwise, they can quickly kill you with overpowered cards.
