“Exalted”, a New Magic The Gathering Keyword Mechanic
September 8, 2008 | Posted by Dee
The previews for Shards of Alara started today so we got a couple of new previews on Wizards.com.
Mark Rosewater’s article talked about the a new keyword mechanic for the creatures in the world, or shard, of Bant. (Bant is the white-centered shard with green and blue.) The new mechanic is:
Exalted (Whenever a creature you control attacks alone, that creature gets +1/+1 until end of turn.)
Here are the two previewed cards with exalted.

The main thing to remember is that exalted is a triggered ability. This means if you attack with only one creature, it will get multiple +1/+1 bonuses if you have more than one creature with exalted.
For example, if you have 3 Sigiled Paladins in play and you attack with only one of them, it will become a 5/5 creature.
Also, creatures with exalted affect creatures without exalted.
Let’s say you have a 1/1 creature with no abilities and 4 Sigiled Paladins in play. If you send the 1/1 into the red zone by itself, it will become a 5/5!

Or better idea. Attack alone with one of the Sigiled Paladin and you have yourself a 6/6
