Here are two awesome Goblin cards from Magic 2013. The first is a rare legendary creature that works well with all the other Goblins in Standard. The other card is a common that makes Goblin Grenade, Goblin Chieftain, and Goblin Wardriver better.
Krenko, Mob Boss

Krenko is one of those cards that can take over a game really quickly if your opponent doesn’t deal with him.
For example, you play him on turn four and you already have two random Goblins on the board. On turn five, Krenko taps to summon three 1/1 Goblins. On turn six, he summons six 1/1 Goblins. Basically, in a Goblin deck, he doubles your creatures on the board every turn.
If we play certain Goblins, he gets even better. Check out this series of plays:
Turn 1: Goblin Arsonist
Turn 2: Goblin Wardriver, attack for 1
Turn 3: Goblin Chieftain, attack for 9 (Wardriver has battle cry and Chieftain gives +1/+1 to the other Goblins)
Turn 4: Krenko, he gains haste because of Goblin Chieftain, tap him to make four Goblins, these Goblins also gain haste, attack for 21!
Even if you take out the turn one creature, you still have a turn four kill.
Turn 1: Nothing
Turn 2: Goblin Wardriver
Turn 3: Goblin Chieftain, attack for 6
Turn 4: Krenko, tap him to make three Goblins, attack for 15
The key card to play with Krenko is definitely Goblin Chieftain. It gives Krenko and other Goblins haste, which is huge. You can tap Krenko right away to double your Goblin army and then the new Goblin tokens can attack on the same turn. Also, they get the +1/+1 buff from Goblin Chieftain.
And that’s not all. Check out the second preview card below.
Krenko’s Command

First, I love how the art and names of these two Magic 2013 cards relate to each other. It looks like Magic 2013 is going to have a lot of flavor.
Krenko’s Command is great with Krenko, Mob Boss because you get two Goblin creatures from one card for only two mana. In the last example, if you substitute Krenko’s Command for Goblin Wardriver, you still have a turn four kill.
Here’s the play by play.
Turn 1: Nothing
Turn 2: Krenko’s Command
Turn 3: Goblin Chieftain, attack for 6
Turn 4: Krenko, tap him to make four Goblins, attack for 14
Krenko’s Command gives Goblins another solid two-drop, which it desperately needs. Except for Goblin Wardriver, the other Goblin two-drops are pretty bad.
Goblin Chieftain and Goblin Wardriver get better because Krenko’s Command gives them multiple creatures to buff. Also, Krenko’s Command is one of the best cards to play with Goblin Grenade because you still have a 1/1 Goblin after you sac a Goblin for Grenade.
Having an extra 1/1 Goblin can make all the difference in the world because you can make it bigger with Chieftain and Wardriver. Plus, it helps Krenko make a larger army every time he activates his ability.
