Hi Dee,

You're absolutely right. In practice, I would always splash. I just wanted to see how strong the deck could be as mono color.

I think the green is the only really competitive one. Fog is actually quite nice to prevent a blowout, or you can go all in and not worry about the counter-attack. Or lure your opponent into going all-in. It's definitely no Sleep, but it's not a junk card.

Mind you, the red deck is pretty good too, 6 jackal familiars ... serious early pressure, especially if you go:

T1: jackal,
T2: raging goblin, swing for 3, jackal;
T3: ball lightning, swing for 11
T4: gg

I can dream, can't I?

Too bad I couldn't draft some lightning bolts!

Bob, Thanks for your input.

You really like mono colored decks! I think adding another color will make your decks stronger so you don't have to play mediocre cards like Sanguine Bond, Manabarbs, and Fog.

This one is really weak on the creatures.... but two underworld dreams and lots of creature control might work as a stall and win strategy.

2x Black Knight
1x Child of Night
1x Acolyte of Xathrid
1x Dread Warlock
1x Kelinore Bat
1x Looming Shade

2x Disentomb
1x Rise from the Grave

3x Sign in Blood

1x Consume Spirit
1x Duress

2x Underworld Dreams
1x Sanguine Bond

17x Swamps
